Maine Coon True Characteristics - The Reason (in my opinion) Why Great Breeders Show Their Cats!

As you can see in the photo above, there is a huge difference between the breed standards of a Maine Coon and those of an extreme features. I believe that great breeders show at cat shows to ensure they are breeding true to the character of Maine Coons. Every human is different, and I do respect each breeder and family's POV. Everyone has the right to choose what they like. But for those of us trying to preserve the true characteristics of the Maine Coon, the photo on the left is the standard. Aspen Maine Coons shows at the TICA cat shows. So, I am speaking from what I have learned from the judges at the TICA cat shows, mentors, and cat friends with many years of experience working with Maine Coons. The goal for Aspen Maine Coons is to breed Maine Coons with the true Maine Coon characteristics. Thanks for reading about my POV on this subject!!!!
